Children’s Bureau is the lead agency of the Family Development Network comprised of six organizations working together to serve the East Hollywood/Wilshire communities. Services are provided to families through our Oakwood Family Resource Center. The goals of the network are to: prevent child abuse and neglect, increase family self-sufficiency, support and strengthen families and communities and the provision of seamless services.
Oakwood Family Resource Center offers a variety of programs including:
• In-home and office-based services
• Child development and adult education
• Peer-to-peer support groups
• Parent counseling
• Health and home safety education
• Traffic safety
• Parent leadership training
