  • Individuals and families in the Magnolia neighborhood achieve long-term financial stability, build assets, and reach their maximum economic potential through mobilization and connection to the resources of the Network.

  • This committee’s work will be pursued with an eye to broadbased community empowerment & impact, potential policy implications, and replicability.

  • Economic demographic information(for Magnolia Place Geography) gathered and in process of being analyzed

  • Partner presenting local efforts according to focus area

Current Efforts

Meeting Schedule

1/14 - Maximizing use of public financial supports (includes VITA, DPSS) Access to affordable quality child care.

1/21 & 1/28 - SAJE presentation challenging us to think about the economic constructs and values we assume when working to support financial stability, and the relationships that our agencies should have with community and policy spheres as we pursue financial stability goals

2/11 - Increased strategic use and savings of current income (Bank on LA, Financial Literacy, Accelerated Savings, IDAs, Health Insurance Enrollment, Financial Services)

2/25 - Access to Affordable, Safe Housing

3/11 - Food Security
