Children’s Bureau’s Salk Family Resource Center relocated to a newly renovated Anaheim-Harbor Family Resource Center in July, much to the anticipation of local families, community agencies and schools. The new location continues to help families living in the Anaheim, Buena Park and Stanton areas but in a larger space and with expanded services thanks to strong collaborative partners.

“The community is happy that we are here as the need for services in this area is very high. Parents are really struggling. We help stabilize the stressors in their lives and support and empower them to provide healthy homes for their children,” said Program Supervisor/Coordinator Diana Torres.

The new building is warm and inviting thanks to a fresh coat of paint, interior build outs for offices, a community room and kitchen, children’s mural and landscaping. Most of the renovation materials and labor were provided pro bono by Deloitte LLP and their employee Impact Day.

"This Center is bustling with activity every hour we are open. Parents tells us that they like coming here because our services meet all of their needs. They also know that we care and want them to succeed," said Diana.

Children’s Bureau is the lead agency at the Anaheim-Harbor FRC which helps approximately 150 families weekly with a variety of social, educational and health services. To learn more, click here.
